A Simple French 75

You wouldn’t be wrong if you said a French 75 was like a fancy Gin & Tonic. Because, well, bubbles.

A French 75 is best served COLD, so it helps if you have chilled champagne and a chilled glass ready to go.

Ingredients for French 75

Ready to try one?

French 75

  • 1 oz. gin
  • a big pinch of cotton candy
  • 5 oz. chilled Champagne or sparkling wine
  • 1/2 oz. lemon juice
  • lemon twist for garnish

In cocktail shaker, combine gin, lemon juice, and cotton candy (or sugar or simple syrup, if you must). Add ice and shake vigorously for 20 seconds.

Strain into chilled Champagne flute and top with a bit more champagne.

Garnish with a lemon twist and enjoy!
