Sweets from the Leets

The holidays are a special time for so many reasons….but always a wonderful time to stop and recognize the special people in your life. And what better way to do that then fill them with sugar! Well, not really, but I do love an excuse to bake and share some sweet treats. Knowing time is always a scarcity, I now look for quick ways to be creative in the kitchen.

This year, I pulled together two of my favorites – Nutella Cherry Hazelnut Fudge and Vanilla Beam Marshmallows from Annie’s Eats. Both are easy to make and somewhat fool proof, even when you are half paying attention when cooking! Then of course I had to include a royal icing sugar cookie. This year I was determined to decode the secret to beautiful sugar cookies and while I am by no means and expert, it’s only taken a few times to get the hang of it.

I found these adorable bags from last year and just never had a chance to use them. I think they are actually meant to be wedding favor bags but the did the trick for creative and personal holiday packaging.
