I’m a pretty efficient packer, thanks to some well know travel tricks – grab my go-to outfits, stick to a few coordinating color combinations, roll wrinkle-prone clothes, put breakables inside socks, and wear my bulkiest shoes on the plane (so they don’t take up too much room in my suit case.) Because unless I’m traveling with the littles, I always carry on.
Which means I have to streamline my make-up and cosmetics to fit into a silly, little ziplock bag. And that’s where I run into trouble.
I’m a bit of a product junkie and that becomes a problem when all you have to work with is a flimsy ziplock bag. I usually end up throwing in random product samples and digging in drawers for any small bottles I can find. Not exactly efficient or effective.
So after my last chaotic packing adventure, I decided things had to change. Obviously, I need to a few more travel tricks to my repertoire. First I needed a travel routine – a few select products that didn’t take up too much space, but still covered all the bases. Second, operation ‘ditch the ziplock’.
My product solution was to stash away samples and buy travel sizes of my favorite products. But I must not be the only one with this issue because lots of big name brands have travel size versions of their best sellers. Note to self, if I run out of samples, this might be a great way to try something new without having to buy the full size version of everything.

Ditching the ziplock was a no brainer once I found One Truffle. These adorable, TSA approved pouches mean you can be organized and look stylish when traveling. They lay flat for storage but expand to fit more than I can typically stuff into a ziplock bag. They are sturdy and see through – which makes TSA happy and makes it easy to see what you’ve tucked away.
They come in lots of cute color combination, are easy to clean and way more durable than you know what.
